The witch Medusa's plan was set in motion and the academy was completely unaware that the treacherous snake was already inside the walls of their institution. Disguised as a nurse, the final piece of her plan was put into action – the one piece that she couldn’t have planned for – and the meister Maka and the weapon Soul Eater were attacked by Crona-
Only to have the attack interrupted by four strangers.
On the night of the attack in the cathedral, four powerful witches seemed to appear from nowhere, interrupting the final confrontation between Medusa and Stein. Their presence halted the attack and allowed Medusa to get away, but at the cost of leaving Crona behind and in the hand of the new comers. They vanished as well, leaving Stein, Spirit, Maka and Soul behind.
The witches moved fast – and moved quietly. With Crona in hand they easily found the location of Medusa’s laboratory, cutting off her access to it, and without her experiment or her Black Blood the witch found herself trapped at the academy, forced into playing the role of the nurse without any recourse for escape.
With Stein already beginning to suspect her, and with no outside help or access to her research, Medusa has no choice but to keep up her now useless facade. Soul is infected with an illness that no one knows anything about – no one that would be willing to help, at least. And the four unknown and powerful witches are on the loose, with complete access to everything that the snake witch had ever done.
How will their resonance be rewritten?
